this year, being the 25th year of merry6mas (25!!! i thought the first one was going to be a one off!) will be celebrated with a special release.
i had thought of compiling a best of (Now That's What I Call 6mas?) but instead have 2 CDs of new music in a box set, with artwork designed and printed once again by Mark Prestage.
When putting together Civil Twilight, i had over 2 hours of material. Disc 1 here is the ones that didn't make it to that album - not because i don't think they are as good, but i thought those chosen made a good album. These do too, but a different one.
The others are a mix of tracks from late 2022 through to after the recordings for Civil Twilight - some noisier, some more minimal, some more acoustic - bit of a mix.
The physical release comes in a sticker card box, containing 2 CDs in hard linocut printed sleeves (by Mark Prestage) and a 16 page booklet

Sublime work from start to finish. Disc 2 on the limited edition is a slice of acoustic heaven. Overall probably my favourite Yellow6 release and that is saying something given the quality of competition over so many years. Bravo Jon, I love this direction you have taken. as always I am left wanting more. Beautifully presented and packaged by the ever reliable Sound in Silence label. Will
